Briana Cardwell, Esq. is an attorney who graduated in 2020 from Boston University School of Law. Prior to law school, Attorney Cardwell attended Bowdoin College, where she majored in Africana Studies and minored in Sociology. Briana has previously interned at the ACLU of Massachusetts, NAACP Boston Branch, Harvard Prison Legal Assistance Project, Massachusetts Immigrant & Refugee Advocacy Coalition, as well as Greater Boston Legal Services. As an attorney, Briana has worked in both immigration law and estate planning. Briana has a fierce sense of social justice and serves as a wonderful mentor to young aspiring lawyers.

In this episode, we discussed the topic of hair and everything that comes with hair. Finally, Christine shared her story involving a traumatic experience related to the mistreatment of Black women's hair.

Additionally, in this episode, we sat down and interviewed Dr. Whitney Battle-Baptiste, an anthropology professor at the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
Dr. Whitney Battle-Baptiste is a historical archaeologist who focuses primarily on the historical intersection of race, class, and gender in the shaping of cultural landscapes across the African diaspora. Her theoretical interests include Black feminist theory, African American material and expressive culture, and critical heritage studies. Her work spans a variety of historic sites in the Northern and Southern United States, including the home of Andrew Jackson in Nashville, Tennessee; Rich Neck Plantation in Williamsburg, Virginia; the Abiel Smith School in Boston, Massachusetts; and the W. E. B. Du Bois Homesite in Great Barrington, Massachusetts. Her latest research is a community-based archaeology project at the Millers Plantation site on the island of Eleuthera in the Bahamas.

In this episode, the MhmKay Podcast welcomed, a great friend of the podcast, James Ugochukwu, also known as Ugo. Ugo is a 20-year-old college student, from Norwood Massachusetts, attending Umass Amherst. He is on a pre-med track, studying biochemistry and molecular biology. He is an ambitious and motivated student with a passion for basketball and content creation.

In this episode, we interview Jennifer Schiller, Board Member and Secretary of an important organization in Massachusetts called, Dignity Matters. According to their website, Dignity Matters is a non-profit organization that collects, purchases, and supplies feminine hygiene products, bras, and underwear to women and girls who are homeless or disadvantaged, in order to help them stay healthy, regain self-confidence and live with basic dignity.
